Golwin Cooke
L'Etang, N.B., April 28th. THe death of Golwin Cooke occured at his home here late Wednesday night after a lingering ilness. He was born in Deer Island 72 years ago, a son of Henry and Louise ( Conoley ) Cooke
Mr. Cooke leaves to mourn his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Middlemiss of St. Stephen, Mrs. Hazen Borthwick of Pennfield, Mrs. Hiram Wilcox and Mrs. Jas.McAleenan of Digdeguash and two sons Percy of Black's HArbour and Carson at home, also four sisters, Mrs. Frank Harrington of Vermont, Mrs. Cyrene Frost, Mrs. Henen Joseph of Arlington, Mass., and Mrs. Florence Gifford of Florida.
THe funeral was held at his home on Saturday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Medford Conley conducted the service. Hymns were " The Old Rugged Cross". " Abide With Me",
Pall-bearerswere David Leavitt, Alexander Holland, George Hatt and Everett Syewart. Internment was made in the Rural Cemetery.
