Capt. George Newcombe born abt 1775 in Plymouth, Devonshire, England. He died 14 Nov 1847 in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. On 20 Dec 1806 in Parrsboro, N.S. he married
      Mary Hatfield b. 3 Nov 1779 in Parrsboro, NS. daughter of Capt. John Hatfield, U.E.L. and Mary Lockerman. ( See Hatfield ) she died 24 Feb 1877 in Fox River, Cumbeland County, Nova Scotia.

        1) John H. Newcomb b. abt 1808 in Parrsboro, died 1 Nov 1888 and married Leticia Marsters
          daughter of James H. Marsters and Nancy Sibley.
        2) Capt. George W. Newcomb jr. b. c. 1810, died 11 May 1899, married Mary Yorke daughter of
            Capt. Edward Yorke and Nancy Hatfield

        3) Isaac Newcomb b. c. 1813 in Nova Scotia and married Rebecca J. Thompson on 11 May 1842 in
            Port Greville.

        4) Mary Ann Newcomb b. 11 Mar 1816, Port Greville, N.S. died 8 May 1875 in Parrsboro, N.S.
            married Capt. James H. Pratt on 13 Sept 1836    ( See Pratt )

        5) Capt James Newcomb, christened 15 Dec 1826, died 1889

       6) Thomas Ratchford Newcomb b. c. 1819, Port Greville, N.S. died 4 Sept 1864,
           married Julia Dryer 26 Dec 1843, Port Greville, Cumberlandf Co., N.S.

       7) Captain Andrew Frederick Newcomb christened 15 Dec 1826 and married
           Abigail Thompson

       8) Captain Archibald T. Newcomb christened 15 Dec 1826, Port Greville, N.S., died
             2 Aug 1865, married Lavinia Bradshaw in 1858, Port Greville. Lavinia was b. 1 Aug 1838.

       9) Caroline Newcomb, christened 15 Dec 1826, Port Greville, N.S.

      10) Silas Herbert Newcomb, b. c. 1816, died 26 Oct 1888, married Clarissa Wren
