Pollitt Family Photos

Although I am not certain these are Pollitt's. These first 3 were taken in Rhode Island, The first one was taken at Briggs Bros., Portrait & Landscape Photographers, Main St. East Greenwich, Rhode Island

This one was taken at " Jones " 357 Westminster St.,
               Providence, Rhode Island

Taken at " H.Q. Morton " 171 Westminster St.,
               Providence, Rhode Island

The rest of these pictures were taken in and around Manchester, Lancashire, England, at this time I am not certain who these folks are, only that they must have played some part in the lives of our Pollitt family . They were removed carefully from the Photo album of John and Harriet Pollitt  this past summer and laser copied to preserve them, unfortunately there were no names printed on the backs.

The two to your left are possibly Thomas Pollitt and Alice Dean

This is Harriett Pollitt nee Lock

This picture was taken on the Isle of Man,  on the left I beleive is Alice Pollitt Pendlebury, the gentleman rowing is Thomas Pendlebury, two more Pollitt sisters , Annie and Ellen and father James Pollitt b. 18 Jun 1826 in Newton Heath, Lancs.

It is curious to me, why a picture of the Prime Minister of England would turn up in the personal photo album of John and Harriet Pollitt
